Pendrive once was considered as a savior to store and transfer large amount of data. Generally pendrive offer 1.5 MB to 12 MB per second speed. Due to operating system error or some malicious programs our pendrive data transfer speed gets limited.
Sometimes we may feel our pendrive performance getting slower and slower, which is by the way irritating to some of us. So today we are going to discuss few steps which may help to solve out this issue. Although I cannot guarantee you that the steps will work for you, I still recommend you to give it a try. I have briefed the articles as much as possible.
1. Change the file system of pendrive
Step 1. Plug in your pendrive into your computer or Laptop.
Step 2. Then right click on your pen drive. A pop up menu will shown.

Now that your file system is changed you will get much greater data transfer speed.

2. Change your device policy
Step 1. Plug in your drive and right click on your Drive.
Step 2. Select the properties option from the popup menu.

Step 4. Now a list of drives in shown in hardware tab.
Step 5. Now select your drive and click on properties button.

Step 6. Next wizard is shown to you then select general tab and click on change setting button.
Step 7. Select the policies tab from the next wizard
Step 8. Now select the better performance radio button.
3. I recommend you to upgrade your USB port driver version to 2.0 or 3.0 for higher speed(Although you should own a USB 3.0 certified pendrive) .
4. Reduce the simultaneous write operation to the same drive.
5. Format the drive after few days. Try to format it at least one time in a month.
6. Check the drive for bad sector errors

- Right click on pendrive >> Then select properties >> Then select the tools tab >> Click on check now button.
- The tools will automatically scan and recover bad sector error.
